After spending countless hours agonizing over a name for our store, we finally agree to go with Cranberry Collective.  Here’s the breakdown:   CRANBERRY – We wanted to include a word that instantly conjures up thoughts of Cape Cod.  After much debate, we narrowed our list down to CRANBERRY, MAYFLOWER and LIGHTHOUSE.  CRANBERRY ultimately won out, due in large part to the fact that we live by one of the prettiest cranberry bogs on the Cape.   COLLECTIVE – CRANBERRY was coupled with COLLECTIVE for a few reasons.  First of all, we love the use of alliteration when it comes...

After a relaxing transatlantic cruise, we arrive back in Miami.  All that time drifting in the middle of the ocean allowed us to tighten up our business plan – we’re going to sell gifts and décor with nautical/beach themes that are exclusively produced by New England-based artists and companies.   Time to get to work…

Jen helped me clean out my Manhattan apartment and then headed to JFK for her flight overseas (to celebrate we booked a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Miami).  Since we were taking different flights, I had to wrap a few things up before heading to Newark for my departure.  Unfortunately things unraveled quickly, as the combination of an apartment inspection that took place at glacial speed, a tardy airport shuttle, Lincoln Tunnel traffic and Newark Airport chaos caused me to miss my flight to Barcelona.
